[45] 'Just as one standing upon a rocky mountain peak
might behold the people all around below,
even so, O One of Excellent Wisdom, O All-Seeing One (samantacakkhu),
ascend the palace made of the Dhamma;
free from sorrow yourself, look down upon the people
engulfed in sorrow, overcome by birth (jāti) and aging (jarā).
Rise up, O hero, victor in battle,
O caravan leader, free from debt, reveal the world!
Let the Blessed One teach the Dhamma —
there will be those who understand.'
