[398] Which three dhammas should be realized? The three true knowledges (vijjā): the knowledge (ñāṇa) of the recollection of past abodes (pubbenivāsānussatiñāṇa) is a true knowledge; the knowledge of the passing away and reappearance of beings (cutūpapātañāṇa) is a true knowledge; the knowledge of the destruction of the taints (āsava) (āsavakkhayañāṇa) is a true knowledge. These three dhammas should be realized.
Thus these thirty dhammas — true, real, exact, not unreal, not otherwise — have been fully awakened to by the Tathāgata rightly.
