[399] Four things (dhammā) are of great help (bahukārā); four things should be developed (bhāvetabbā); four things should be fully understood (pariññeyyā); four things should be abandoned (pahātabbā); four things partake of decline (hānabhāgiyā); four things partake of distinction (visesabhāgiyā); four things are hard to penetrate (duppaṭivijjhā); four things should be produced (uppādetabbā); four things should be directly known (abhiññeyyā); four things should be realized (sacchikātabbā).
