[470] What ten things partake of decline (hānabhāgiyā)? The ten courses of unwholesome action (akusalakammapathā): killing living beings, taking what is not given, misconduct in sensual pleasures, false speech, divisive speech, harsh speech, idle chatter, covetousness (abhijjhā), ill will (byāpāda), and wrong view. These ten things partake of decline.
