[70] A khattiya too, Vāseṭṭha, who is restrained in body, restrained in speech, restrained in mind, having pursued the development of the seven qualities conducive to awakening (bodhipakkhiyā dhammā), attains complete Nibbāna in this very life. A brāhmaṇa too, Vāseṭṭha, who is restrained in body, restrained in speech, restrained in mind, having pursued the development of the seven qualities conducive to awakening, attains complete Nibbāna in this very life. A vessa too, Vāseṭṭha, who is restrained in body, restrained in speech, restrained in mind, having pursued the development of the seven qualities conducive to awakening, attains complete Nibbāna in this very life. A sudda too, Vāseṭṭha, who is restrained in body, restrained in speech, restrained in mind, having pursued the development of the seven qualities conducive to awakening, attains complete Nibbāna in this very life.
