[84] "And furthermore, venerable sir, this too is unsurpassable: the way in which the Blessed One teaches the Dhamma with regard to a person's ethical conduct (purisasīlasamācāra). Here, venerable sir, a certain person is truthful and faithful; he is no deceiver (kuhaka), no flatterer (lapaka), no hinter (nemittika), no belittler (nippesika), and no pursuer of gain by means of gain; he is one who guards the doors of the sense faculties, knows moderation in eating, is even in his conduct, is devoted to the practice of wakefulness, is unwearying, of aroused energy, a meditator, possessed of mindfulness, of excellent eloquence, intelligent, steadfast, and wise; he is not greedy for sensual pleasures, but lives mindful and discerning. This, venerable sir, is unsurpassable with regard to a person's ethical conduct."
