[191] Moreover, Sāriputta, there are some ascetics and brahmins who hold this doctrine, this view: "Purity comes about through the service of fire (aggipāricariyā)." But, Sāriputta, it is not easy to find a fire that has not previously been served by me in this long stretch of time — and that, moreover, only when I was a head-anointed noble king (khattiya) or a brahmin of great wealth.
