[201] "And what, bhikkhus, is the gratification (assāda) in forms (rūpa)? Suppose, bhikkhus, there were a maiden of the khattiyas, or a maiden of the brahmins, or a maiden of the householders, of fifteen or sixteen years of age, neither too tall nor too short, neither too thin nor too stout, neither too dark nor too fair — is she not, bhikkhus, at that time at the height of her beauty and loveliness of complexion?"
"So it is, venerable sir."
"Bhikkhus, the pleasure and gladness that arise in dependence on that beauty and loveliness of complexion — this is the gratification in forms."
