[210] "That very quality (dhamma), Mahānāma, remains unabandoned within you, on account of which at times states of greed (lobhadhammā) invade your mind (citta) and remain, states of hatred (dosadhammā) invade your mind and remain, and states of delusion (mohadhammā) invade your mind and remain. For if that quality had been abandoned within you, Mahānāma, you would not be dwelling in the home life, you would not be enjoying sensual pleasures. But because, Mahānāma, that very quality remains unabandoned within you, therefore you dwell in the home life and enjoy sensual pleasures."
