[294] Then the Blessed One, having stayed at Rājagaha for as long as he pleased, set out on a journey toward Sāvatthī. Traveling by stages, he arrived at Sāvatthī, and there the Blessed One dwelt at Sāvatthī, in Jeta's Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika's park.
The venerable Puṇṇa Mantāṇiputta heard: "The Blessed One, it is said, has arrived at Sāvatthī and is dwelling at Sāvatthī, in Jeta's Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika's park." Then the venerable Puṇṇa Mantāṇiputta, having set his lodging in order and taken his bowl and robe, set out on a journey toward Sāvatthī. Traveling by stages, he arrived at Sāvatthī, at Jeta's Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika's park, and approached the Blessed One. Having approached and paid homage to the Blessed One, he sat down to one side. As the venerable Puṇṇa Mantāṇiputta sat to one side, the Blessed One instructed, roused, inspired, and gladdened him with a talk on the Dhamma.
Then the venerable Puṇṇa Mantāṇiputta — having been instructed, roused, inspired, and gladdened by the Blessed One with a talk on the Dhamma — having delighted in and rejoiced at the Blessed One's words, rose from his seat, paid homage to the Blessed One, circumambulated him keeping his right side toward him, and went to the Andhavana (Dark Forest) for the day's abiding.
