[67] "It is possible, friend, that such a wish might arise in some bhikkhu here: 'Oh, that the bhikkhunīs … the laymen … the laywomen would honor, respect, esteem, and venerate me alone, and that the laywomen would not honor, respect, esteem, and venerate another bhikkhu.' But it is possible, friend, that the laywomen honor, respect, esteem, and venerate another bhikkhu, and do not honor, respect, esteem, and venerate that bhikkhu. Thinking, 'The laywomen honor, respect, esteem, and venerate another bhikkhu; the laywomen do not honor, respect, esteem, and venerate me,' he becomes angry and displeased. Both the anger and the displeasure, friend, are a blemish (aṅgaṇa)."
