[231] "And what, bhikkhus, is the individual freed both ways (ubhatobhāgavimutta)? Here, bhikkhus, a certain individual dwells having contacted with the body those peaceful liberations (vimokkha) that are formless, transcending forms; and, having seen with wisdom, his taints (āsava) are utterly destroyed. This individual, bhikkhus, is called one freed both ways. Of this bhikkhu, bhikkhus, I say there is no work still to be done with diligence (appamāda). Why is that? His work has been done with diligence; he is incapable of being negligent."
