[266] "You, Vaccha, in so far as you may wish: 'With the destruction of the taints (āsava), may I realize for myself with direct knowledge (abhiññā), in this very life, the taintless liberation of mind (cetovimutti) and liberation by wisdom (paññāvimutti), and having entered upon them, may I dwell therein' — in each and every case you will attain the capacity to witness it for yourself, whenever there is a suitable basis (sati sati āyatane)."
