[319] "Venerable sir, I see five qualities in the Blessed One because of which the disciples honor, respect, esteem, and venerate the Blessed One, and, having honored and respected him, live in dependence upon him. What are the five? Venerable sir, the Blessed One eats little and speaks in praise of eating little. Venerable sir, in that the Blessed One eats little and speaks in praise of eating little — this, venerable sir, I see as the first quality in the Blessed One because of which the disciples honor, respect, esteem, and venerate the Blessed One, and, having honored and respected him, live in dependence upon him."
