MahāsakuludāyisuttaTiracchānakathā

Suttapiṭaka · Majjhimanikāya · Vol. 13 · Section 321

[321] "Furthermore, venerable sir, the Blessed One is content with any kind of almsfood whatsoever, and speaks in praise of contentment with any kind of almsfood whatsoever. In that the Blessed One, venerable sir, is content with any kind of almsfood whatsoever, and speaks in praise of contentment with any kind of almsfood whatsoever — this, venerable sir, is the third quality I see in the Blessed One because of which the disciples honor, respect, esteem, and venerate the Blessed One, and, having honored and respected him, live in dependence upon him."
