[339] Furthermore, Udāyi, I have declared to my disciples the way of practice (paṭipadā) whereby my disciples, practicing accordingly, develop the noble eightfold path (ariya aṭṭhaṅgika magga). Here, Udāyi, a bhikkhu develops right view (sammādiṭṭhi), develops right intention (sammāsaṅkappa), develops right speech (sammāvācā), develops right action (sammākammanta), develops right livelihood (sammā-ājīva), develops right effort (sammāvāyāma), develops right mindfulness (sammāsati), develops right concentration (sammāsamādhi). And therein many of my disciples abide having attained the consummation and perfection of direct knowledge (abhiññā).
