[366] "By what ten qualities, carpenter (thapati), do I declare an individual to be one accomplished in the wholesome, of supreme wholesomeness, an invincible ascetic attained to the highest attainment? Here, carpenter, a bhikkhu possesses the right view of one beyond training (asekha); he possesses the right intention of one beyond training; he possesses the right speech of one beyond training; he possesses the right action of one beyond training; he possesses the right livelihood of one beyond training; he possesses the right effort of one beyond training; he possesses the right mindfulness of one beyond training; he possesses the right concentration (samādhi) of one beyond training; he possesses the right knowledge (ñāṇa) of one beyond training; he possesses the right liberation of one beyond training. Possessed of these ten qualities, carpenter, I declare an individual to be one accomplished in the wholesome, of supreme wholesomeness, an invincible ascetic attained to the highest attainment."
Thus spoke the Blessed One. Satisfied, Pañcakaṅga the carpenter delighted in the Blessed One's words.
