[382] "Udāyi, here a bhikkhu, quite secluded from sensual pleasures … enters and dwells in the first jhāna; with the stilling of thought and examination (vitakka-vicāra) … he enters and dwells in the second jhāna; with the fading away of rapture … he enters and dwells in the third jhāna. This, Udāyi, is the practice endowed with grounds (ākāravatī paṭipadā) for the realization of a world of exclusively pleasant (ekantasukha loka)."
"But is that really, venerable sir, the practice endowed with grounds for the realization of a world exclusively pleasant? For at that point, venerable sir, a world exclusively pleasant has already been realized."
