[404] "Once in the past, Ānanda, in this region there was a market town (nigama) named Vebhaḷiga, prosperous and flourishing, populous, crowded with human beings. The Blessed One Kassapa, the Arahant (arahaṃ), the Fully Awakened One (sammāsambuddho), dwelt supported by the market town of Vebhaḷiga. It was here indeed, Ānanda, that the Blessed One Kassapa, the Arahant, the Fully Awakened One, had his monastery (ārāma); it was here indeed, Ānanda, that the Blessed One Kassapa, the Arahant, the Fully Awakened One, seated, instructed the Saṅgha of bhikkhus."
