[519] When this was said, the brahmin student (māṇava) Sañjikāputta said this to Bodhi the Prince: "Though this worthy Bodhi declares thus: 'Oh, the Buddha! Oh, the Dhamma! Oh, how well-proclaimed is the Dhamma!' — yet still the worthy one does not go for refuge to that worthy Gotama, or to the Dhamma, or to the Saṅgha of bhikkhus (bhikkhu)."
