[529] Then King Pasenadi of Kosala approached the Blessed One; having approached, he paid homage to the Blessed One and sat down to one side. Seated to one side, King Pasenadi of Kosala said this to the Blessed One: "It is wonderful, venerable sir; it is marvellous, venerable sir, how the Blessed One is the tamer of the untamed, the calmer of the uncalmed, the one who brings to final Nibbāna those not yet attained to final Nibbāna (aparinibbutānaṃ parinibbāpetā). For, venerable sir, him whom we were unable to tame even with the rod or with the sword, the Blessed One has tamed without rod, without sword. And now, venerable sir, we must go; we have many duties, much that must be done."
"Now, great king, is the time for whatever you think fit."
Then King Pasenadi of Kosala rose from his seat, paid homage to the Blessed One, circumambulated him keeping his right side towards him, and departed.
