[563] "Furthermore, venerable sir, even kings dispute with kings, even khattiyas dispute with khattiyas, even brahmins dispute with brahmins, even householders dispute with householders; even a mother disputes with her son, even a son disputes with his mother, even a father disputes with his son, even a son disputes with his father; even a brother disputes with his sister, even a sister disputes with her brother, even a friend disputes with a friend. But here, venerable sir, I see bhikkhus dwelling in concord, in mutual appreciation, without disputing, blended like milk and water, regarding one another with eyes of affection. Venerable sir, I do not see any other assembly elsewhere that is so harmonious. This too, venerable sir, is for me an inference from the Dhamma (dhammanvaya) regarding the Blessed One: 'The Blessed One is fully awakened; the Dhamma is well proclaimed by the Blessed One; the Saṅgha of the Blessed One's disciples is practicing well.'"
