[569] "Furthermore, venerable sir, the Blessed One is a khattiya, and I too am a khattiya; the Blessed One is a Kosalan, and I too am a Kosalan; the Blessed One is eighty years of age, and I too am eighty years of age. And since, venerable sir, the Blessed One is a khattiya and I too am a khattiya, the Blessed One is a Kosalan and I too am a Kosalan, the Blessed One is eighty years of age and I too am eighty years of age — for this very reason, venerable sir, it is fitting that I should pay supreme homage to the Blessed One and display the offering of friendship. Well then, venerable sir, we shall take our leave now; we have many duties, much that must be done."
"Great king, do now what you think it is time to do."
Then King Pasenadi of Kosala rose from his seat, paid homage to the Blessed One, circumambulated him keeping him on his right, and departed.
