[601] Then the brahmin Brahmāyu, knowing that the Blessed One had consented, rose from his seat, paid homage to the Blessed One, circumambulated him keeping his right side towards him, and departed. Then, when that night had passed, the brahmin Brahmāyu had excellent hard and soft food prepared in his own residence, and had the time announced to the Blessed One: "It is time, worthy Gotama; the meal is ready." Then the Blessed One, in the morning, having dressed and taking his bowl and robe, went to the residence of the brahmin Brahmāyu; having approached, he sat down on the seat prepared, together with the Saṅgha of bhikkhus. Then for seven days the brahmin Brahmāyu, with his own hands, served and satisfied the Saṅgha of bhikkhus headed by the Buddha with excellent hard and soft food. Then, when those seven days had passed, the Blessed One set out to wander among the Videhans.
