[645] "But, brahmin, what regular daily allowance does the King of Aṅga give you?"
"Five hundred kahāpaṇas, Master Udena."
"Brahmin, it is not proper for us to accept gold and silver."
"If that is not proper, Master Udena, I shall have a dwelling (vihāra) built for Master Udena."
"Brahmin, if you wish to have a dwelling built for me, then have an assembly hall (upaṭṭhānasālā) built for the Saṅgha at Pāṭaliputta."
"By this I am pleased and satisfied with Master Udena even beyond measure, in that Master Udena encourages me in a gift to the Saṅgha. Master Udena, with this regular allowance and with a further regular allowance, I shall have an assembly hall built for the Saṅgha at Pāṭaliputta."
Then the brahmin Ghoṭamukha, with that regular allowance and with a further regular allowance, had an assembly hall built for the Saṅgha at Pāṭaliputta. At present that hall is called the "Ghoṭamukhī."
The Ghoṭamukha Sutta, the Fourth, is finished.
