[118] "So it seems, worthy Ānanda, that the worthy Gotama censured the meditation (jhāna) that deserves censure and praised that which deserves praise. Well then, worthy Ānanda, we must now go; we have many duties, much to be done."
"Brahmin, please do now what you think it is time for."
Then the brahmin Vassakāra, the chief minister of Magadha, having delighted in and approved of the venerable Ānanda's words, rose from his seat and departed.
