[227] "Sāriputta, I say that form (rūpa) cognizable by the eye is of two kinds: that which should be cultivated and that which should not be cultivated. Sāriputta, I say that sound cognizable by the ear is of two kinds: that which should be cultivated and that which should not be cultivated. Sāriputta, I say that odor cognizable by the nose is of two kinds: that which should be cultivated and that which should not be cultivated. Sāriputta, I say that taste cognizable by the tongue is of two kinds: that which should be cultivated and that which should not be cultivated. Sāriputta, I say that tangible object cognizable by the body is of two kinds: that which should be cultivated and that which should not be cultivated. Sāriputta, I say that mind-object (dhamma) cognizable by the mind is of two kinds: that which should be cultivated and that which should not be cultivated."
