[310] "Bhikkhus, suppose a water jar (udakamaṇika), void and empty, were set upon a stand. Then a man were to come along carrying a load of water. What do you think, bhikkhus—would that man find a place to deposit the water?"
"Yes, venerable sir."
"Even so, bhikkhus, in whomever mindfulness directed to the body (kāyagatāsati) has not been developed, not been cultivated, Māra gains an opening in him; Māra gains a foothold in him."
