[330] Bhikkhus, furthermore, a bhikkhu is endowed with faith (saddhā), endowed with virtue (sīla), endowed with learning (suta), endowed with generosity (cāga), and endowed with wisdom (paññā). He has heard: "The devas who have attained the base of infinite consciousness (viññāṇañcāyatana) are long-lived, long-lasting, and abounding in happiness." It occurs to him thus: "Oh, that with the breakup of the body, after death, I might be reborn in the companionship of the devas who have attained the base of infinite consciousness!" … Bhikkhus, this is the path, this is the way of practice that leads to rebirth there.
