[329] Furthermore, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu is endowed with faith (saddhā), endowed with virtue (sīla), endowed with learning (suta), endowed with generosity (cāga), and endowed with wisdom (paññā). He has heard: 'The gods who have reached the base of the infinity of space (ākāsānañcāyatana) are long-lived, long-lasting, and abounding in happiness.' It occurs to him thus: 'Oh, that with the breakup of the body, after death, I might be reborn in the companionship of the gods who have reached the base of the infinity of space!' … This, bhikkhus, is the path, this is the practice, that leads to rebirth there.
