[431] "What do you think, friend Kaccāna? Between this bhikkhu who abides having pervaded and resolved upon an area the extent of a single village district as 'expansive (mahaggata)', and this bhikkhu who abides having pervaded and resolved upon areas the extent of two or three village districts as 'expansive'—of these two developments of mind (cittabhāvanā), which development of mind is the more expansive?" "Venerable sir, the development of mind of this bhikkhu who abides having pervaded and resolved upon areas the extent of two or three village districts as 'expansive'—this, of these two developments of mind, is the more expansive."
