This bhikkhu who dwells having pervaded and resolved upon (adhimuccitvā) an extent as far as two or three tree-roots as 'expansive (mahaggata),' and this bhikkhu who dwells having pervaded and resolved upon an extent as far as a single village district (gāmakkhetta) as 'expansive' — of these two kinds of mental development (cittabhāvanā), which mental development is the more expansive?"
"Venerable sir, the bhikkhu who dwells having pervaded and resolved upon an extent as far as a single village district as 'expansive' — of these two kinds of mental development, this is the more expansive."
