[44] "Bhikkhus, so it seems that you think of me thus: 'The Blessed One is sympathetic, a seeker of welfare; he teaches the Dhamma out of sympathy.' Therefore, bhikkhus, in those dhammas which have been taught by me to you from direct knowledge — that is to say: the four establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna), the four right strivings (sammappadhāna), the four bases of spiritual power (iddhipāda), the five faculties (indriya), the five powers (bala), the seven factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga), and the noble eightfold path — in these you should all train in concord, with mutual appreciation, without disputing. And, bhikkhus, while you are training in concord, with mutual appreciation, without disputing, there might be two bhikkhus who speak differently regarding the higher Dhamma (abhidhamma)."
