[461] "So I, Anuruddha, … Then this occurred to me: 'Perception of diversity (nānattasaññā) has arisen in me, and on account of the perception of diversity my concentration (samādhi) fell away. When concentration falls away, the light vanishes, and so does the seeing of forms. I shall act in such a way that neither doubt (vicikicchā), nor inattention (amanasikāra), nor dullness and drowsiness (thīnamiddha), nor fright, nor elation, nor discomfort, nor excessively aroused energy (vīriya), nor excessively lax energy, nor longing (abhijappā), nor perception of diversity will arise in me again.'"
