Then, Anuruddha, it occurred to me: 'Longing (abhijappā) has arisen in me, and on account of longing my concentration (samādhi) fell away. When concentration falls away, the light (obhāsa) and the vision of forms vanish. I shall act in such a way that doubt (vicikicchā) will not arise in me again, nor non-attention (amanasikāra), nor dullness and drowsiness (thīnamiddha), nor fright (chambhitatta), nor elation (ubbila), nor discomfort (duṭṭhulla), nor excessively aroused energy (accāraddhavīriya), nor overly slack energy (atilīnavīriya), nor longing.'"
