[586] "Here, student, some woman or man is given to anger, full of vexation (upāyāsabahulo); even when little is said to them, they take offense, become angry, bear ill will, and become resentful, and they display anger, hatred, and displeasure. Because of that deed, thus carried out, thus undertaken, with the breaking up of the body, after death, they arise in a state of deprivation, a bad destination, a place of ruin, hell. But if, with the breaking up of the body, after death, they do not arise in a state of deprivation, a bad destination, a place of ruin, hell, and if they come to the human state, then wherever they are subsequently reborn, they are of poor complexion. This, student, is the way of practice that leads to being of poor complexion, namely: being given to anger, full of vexation; even when little is said to them, taking offense, becoming angry, bearing ill will, becoming resentful, and displaying anger, hatred, and displeasure."
