Puṇṇovādasutta

[758] "But if, Puṇṇa, the people of Sunāparanta give you a blow with the hand, what will you think of them then?" "Venerable sir, if the people of Sunāparanta give me a blow with the hand, I shall think of it thus: 'Excellent indeed are these people of Sunāparanta, truly excellent are these people of Sunāparanta, in that they do not give me a blow with a clod of earth.' Thus it will be for me in that case, Blessed One; thus it will be in that case, Sublime One (Sugata)."
