[853] Thus have I heard. On one occasion the Blessed One was dwelling at Kajjaṅgalā, in the Bamboo Grove. Then the brahmin student Uttara, a pupil of Pārāsiriya, approached the Blessed One; having approached, he exchanged greetings with the Blessed One, and when the courteous and memorable talk of greeting was concluded, he sat down to one side.
