[107] A certain devatā, standing in the air, spoke this verse in the presence of the Blessed One: "Whoever declares himself to be one way while being in truth another — what he enjoys is obtained by theft, like that of a cheat who gains by fraud. One should say only what one would do; what one would not do, one should not say. Among those who talk, the wise fully discern the one who does not act."
