[114] Fools, people of poor wisdom, devote themselves to heedlessness (pamāda); but the wise one guards heedfulness (appamāda) as the foremost treasure. Do not devote yourselves to heedlessness, nor to intimacy with sensual delight; for the heedful one, meditating, attains supreme happiness. The Samaya Sutta, the Seventh.
