[127] Then another devatā uttered this inspired utterance (udāna) in the presence of the Blessed One: "A chief bull indeed, sir, is the ascetic Gotama! And through his nature as a chief bull, when bodily feelings (vedanā) have arisen that are painful, racking, sharp, piercing, disagreeable, and displeasing, he endures them, mindful and clearly comprehending, without becoming distressed."
