[134] Standing to one side, [1] Cullakokanadā, Pajjunna's daughter, spoke these verses in the presence of the Blessed One:
"Here came she of complexion like the lightning's radiance,
Kokanadā, Pajjunna's daughter;
venerating the Buddha and the Dhamma,
she spoke these verses [2] endowed with meaning:
'Though I might analyze it in many a way —
such is the Dhamma by exposition —
I shall state the meaning in brief,
so far as it has been learned by my mind:
One should do no evil by speech, by mind,
or by body — anything at all — in all the world.
Having abandoned sensual pleasures, mindful and clearly comprehending (satimā sampajāno),
one should not pursue suffering (dukkha) that is devoid of benefit.'"

Sabbhi, Maccharinā, Sādhu, Na santi, Ujjhānasaññino,
Saddhā, Samayo, Sakalikaṃ, and both the daughters of Pajjunna.
