Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Sagāthāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 15 · Section 135

[135] Thus have I heard. On one occasion the Blessed One was dwelling at Sāvatthī, in the Jetavana, Anāthapiṇḍika's Park. Then, when the night had advanced, a certain deity (devatā) of surpassing beauty, illuminating the entire Jetavana, approached the Blessed One. Having approached, the deity paid homage to the Blessed One and stood to one side.
