[217] "What is the light in the world? What is the wakeful one in the world? What is [the companion] in work of those who live by their work, and what is one's course of movement (iriyāpatha)? What nourishes both the lazy and the industrious, as a mother nourishes her child? On what do beings subsist, those living creatures that depend upon the earth?"
