[218] Wisdom (paññā) is the light in the world; mindfulness (sati) is the wakeful one in the world; cattle are the companions in work of those who live by work; the plough is his course of movement (iriyāpatha). Rain nourishes both the lazy and the industrious, just as a mother nourishes her child; beings subsist upon the rain— those living creatures that depend upon the earth. The Eleventh: The Araṇa Sutta
