[221] Thus have I heard. On one occasion the Blessed One was dwelling at Sāvatthī, in the Jetavana, Anāthapiṇḍika's Park.
Then, when the night was far advanced, the young deva (devaputta) Kassapa, of surpassing beauty, illuminating the entire Jetavana, approached the Blessed One; having approached, he paid homage to the Blessed One and stood to one side. Standing to one side, the young deva Kassapa said this to the Blessed One: "The Blessed One has made known the bhikkhu, but not the instruction (anusāsanī) for a bhikkhu."
"Well then, Kassapa, let it occur to you yourself here."
