[365] Then the Blessed One, knowing that King Pasenadi of Kosala had eaten and was breathing heavily, on that occasion spoke this verse: "For a person ever possessed of mindfulness (sati), who knows moderation in the food he has obtained, his feelings (vedanā) become slight; he ages slowly, guarding his life span."
