[371] This is what the Blessed One said. … "The victor breeds enmity; the defeated one sleeps in suffering (dukkha). The one at peace sleeps at ease, having abandoned victory and defeat." The Second Discourse on Battle (Dutiyasaṅgāmavatthusutta), the fifth.
