[373] Then it occurred to King Pasenadi of Kosala: "Although this Magadhan king Ajātasattu Vedehiputta wrongs me, who do him no wrong, still he is my nephew. Suppose I were to confiscate the entire elephant corps of the Magadhan king Ajātasattu Vedehiputta, confiscate his entire cavalry, confiscate his entire chariot corps, confiscate his entire infantry, and release him still alive."
Then King Pasenadi of Kosala, having confiscated the entire elephant corps of the Magadhan king Ajātasattu Vedehiputta, having confiscated his entire cavalry, having confiscated his entire chariot corps, having confiscated his entire infantry, released him still alive.
