[403] "Three things (dhammā), great king, when they arise in the world, arise for harm, for suffering (dukkha), and for dwelling in discomfort. What three? Greed (lobha), great king, is a thing that, when it arises in the world, arises for harm, for suffering, and for dwelling in discomfort. Hatred (dosa), great king, is a thing that, when it arises in the world, arises for harm, for suffering, and for dwelling in discomfort. Delusion (moha), great king, is a thing that, when it arises in the world, arises for harm, for suffering, and for dwelling in discomfort. These, great king, are the three things that, when they arise in the world, arise for harm, for suffering, and for dwelling in discomfort."
